Y-Strainer
Y Strainer is used to remove unwanted solid particles from liquid or gas flowing through pipelines. It gets its name from its “Y” shape design, which allows the straining element to be placed at an angle for effective filtration. These strainers are suitable for applications where the amount of solid particles is low and frequent cleaning is not required. The screen collects dirt and debris, which can be removed by opening the cover or through a drain plug. Y strainers are commonly used in water lines, steam systems, oil and gas pipelines to protect valves, pumps, and other equipment.
